"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'"
Isaiah 6:8
God's mission will go forward with or without you. But you'll miss the joy if you stay behind. When believers were scattered from Jerusalem in Acts 8, God's plan didn't depend on any single person saying yes. He could have used anyone, anywhere, at any time to spread His love. But those who chose to join Him got to feel the thrill of being part of something bigger than themselves.
Isaiah's answer wasn't about being perfect but about being willing. When God asked "whom shall I send," Isaiah didn't wait until he felt ready or good enough. He simply said, "Here am I. Send me!" The scattered believers in Acts 8 didn't have special training or perfect lives. They just had hearts willing to share what God had done for them.
Every believer gets asked to join God's mission. The same voice that called Isaiah is calling you today through your daily life and God's timing. When you see a hurting coworker, a struggling neighbor, or a family member walking through pain, God is asking, "Whom shall I send?" Your answer decides whether you become part of the story or just hear about it later.
Joining God's mission means trading your small plans for His big purpose. The believers scattered from Jerusalem thought they were running from trouble. But they were actually running into their calling. When you say "Here am I. Send me," you're not signing up for hardship. You're signing up for meaning in your life.
Godseekers, the question isn't whether God's mission needs you. The question is whether you need to be part of His mission to find your true purpose. Like Isaiah and the scattered believers, you have the choice to step into the adventure of being God's messenger. When you say yes to His call, you join the way that has been changing hearts for thousands of years.
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for asking us to be part of Your mission. Help us answer like Isaiah with eager hearts that say, "Here am I. Send me!" Remove our fears and excuses that keep us from joining You in Your work. Give us the courage to see that being part of Your mission is not a burden but a gift. Make us willing helpers in Your plan to reach the world with Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
