You are not who you used to be. That is not just nice talk. If you are in Christ, that is your real life now. You died with Him and rose with Him. This already happened when you believed. Yet most Christians live like they are still waiting for God's power.
The world teaches you to see yourself through earthly labels. Your job title tells you what you are worth. Your bank account makes you feel safe or scared. Your wins make you feel good about yourself. Your losses make you feel like a failure. This is the frame the world gives you. You have looked through it for so long you forgot it was there. But God wants to break that frame. He wants to show you who you really are.
Paul says you were dead in your sins. But God made you alive with Christ. Not "will make you alive" when you die someday. Not "might make you alive" if you work hard enough. He already did it. When Jesus died, you died. When He was buried, you were buried. When He rose from the grave, you rose too. Your old life is gone. Your new life has started. This is the reframe that changes everything about your priorities.
Here is what this means for your daily life. Your past does not define you anymore. That shame you carry around? It died with Christ. That sin that feels like it will never leave? Your old self was buried with Him. That identity you built around success or failure? It is gone. You have a totally new position now. You are alive in Christ. You are seated with Him in heaven. You are a citizen of heaven living on earth for now. Same life, different identity, totally reframed.
Stop living like you are still dead. You have God's power available right now through the Holy Spirit. You do not need to wait until heaven. You do not need to earn it through good works. You already have it because you are joined to Jesus. The question is not whether you have this power. The question is whether you are living like you do. Will you reframe your priorities around this truth?
Godseekers, this is your new reality. You are not trying to become spiritually alive. You already are alive in Christ. You are learning to live like the person you became. Every time you choose to obey instead of sin, you are not earning God's love. You are living out the life already in you. Every time you trust God instead of worrying, you are not faking it. You are living from your true identity as someone raised with Christ. That is reframing your priorities from earthly thinking to heavenly thinking.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for making me alive with Christ. Thank You that I am not waiting for new life. It already happened when I believed in Jesus. Forgive me for living like I am still dead when You made me fully alive. Help me see myself the way You see me. Give me faith to live today from my new identity. Fill me with the same power that raised Jesus from the grave. Help me reframe my priorities around who I really am in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
