"When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus."

Nobody expected two fishermen to speak with that kind of courage. Peter and John stood before trained scholars with nothing rehearsed. They carried no degree, no title, no polished argument. What they carried instead could not be argued away.
The council called them unschooled, and honestly, they were right. These men never sat in a rabbinic school or learned formal rhetoric. Yet something had clearly happened to them that training never produces. They had been with Jesus, and it changed everything about them.
In 1 Corinthians 1:26, Paul says something similar to a divided church. Not many believers there were wise, powerful, or well born. He writes it plainly so nobody could boast later. God rarely chooses the people the world calls impressive.
The healed man stood beside Peter and John saying nothing. He did not need to argue or defend any credential. His legs, once useless, now carried him wherever he wanted. Evidence sometimes speaks louder than any carefully built case.
We often disqualify ourselves before God gets a chance to use us. We assume the podium belongs to someone smarter or more polished. But the real qualification was never about education. It has always been about time spent close to Jesus.
Godseekers, you were never disqualified because of your background. What actually qualifies you is nearness, not a certificate. Keep showing up to the presence that changes ordinary people. Let what you carry speak louder than what you lack.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are the One who chooses the unlikely and makes them unmistakable. You took fishermen with no training and filled them with real courage. What You did for Peter and John, You can do again in us. We declare that missing credentials never stopped Your plan for anyone. We are Yours, sent out regardless of what we lack. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today, write down one thing about your background you have used as an excuse to stay quiet. Underneath it, write one sentence about what being close to Jesus has already changed in you. Keep that paper somewhere you will see it daily this week. Let it remind you that presence, not polish, is what truly qualifies you.
